Guy Smith Obituary
Guy Edward Smith, age 84, of Greenville, passed away December 10th, 2022. Guy was born August 13th, 1938 in Collin County to Orville Smith and Beulah Jenkins Smith. He married Barbara Haggard in 1957, and they had 2 children, Lori and Juli. He married Carolyn Petty Angell in 2005.
Guy worked for Temco before starting his 35 year career with Burroughs/Unisys. He enjoyed old cars, computers, line dancing, and repairing anything.
Guy is survived by his wife Carolyn, children Lori Mullins (Tim), Juli Montes, Steven Angell (Susan), and Jennifer Hull (Jeff), grandchildren Derek Mullins, Amy Loeb (Michael), Dustin Jones, Cameron Jones (Barbara), Caitlyn Amons (Chad), David Hull, EB Snyder (Ethan), Julia Angell, Trevor Angell, 10 great-grandchildren, and brothers Robert Smith and Gary Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Dub Smith, Jean Hargrove, Stella Richardson, Loyd Smith, Cletice Smith, and son-in-law Pete Montes.
Services will be held at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville, TX on Friday, December 16th at 10AM with Rev Jimmy Hyde officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in McKinney, TX. Visitation will be on Thursday 6-8PM at the funeral homeTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
