Gwen Corley Cook, born in Panama City, Florida, brought light and joy into the world on January 5, 1944. She dedicated many years of her life to serving in Branch Operations within the banking industry, where she undoubtedly made a positive impact on those around her.

Described as fun-loving and someone who embraced life to the fullest, Gwen's bubbly personality was infectious to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her zest for life was evident in her various hobbies and interests, from being a Country Line Dance Instructor to finding solace in listening to country music and hitting the dance floor. Additionally, she found inspiration in home improvement shows on HGTV, always eager to put her creativity to work alongside her loyal companion, Ted.

One of Gwen's proudest accomplishments was undoubtedly sharing 40 beautiful years of marriage with her best friend, Ted Cook. Their bond was a true testament to the enduring power of love and companionship. Though Gwen has now departed from this world, she leaves behind a legacy of love and unwavering devotion to those closest to her.

In the hearts of the surviving family and friends she cherished deeply, Gwen's memory will forever be etched. Her loving husband, Ted Cook; sons Keith (Starr) McCarley and Mark Spence; daughter Shellie (Roy) Curtis; and sister Mell Silcox will hold onto the precious moments shared with Gwen as they navigate this difficult time together. She was preceded in death by her Father Carl Corley, Mother Mildred Corley, and a son Michael McCarley.

While we mourn the loss of Gwen Corley Cook from our earthly realm, let us also remember her vibrant spirit that will continue to live on in our memories. May she rest in peace knowing that she was loved deeply and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 @ 1:00 p.m. at The Floyd's Mortuary Greenlawn Chapel with a Memorial Service starting @  2:00 p.m. in the Greenlawn Chapel.
