Ms. Exline is survived by her only son, Benjamin F. (Lisa) Exline, two grandchildren, James Hunter and Lauren Elizabeth, several nieces and nephews, Tracy Shafer of Elyria, Ohio, Christy Mowry of Lorain, Ohio, Lisa Melhinch of Elyria, Ohio, Tamar Jones (Cecil) Lucas of Fulton, Mississippi, William "Billy" G. (Leigh) Jones of Fulton, Mississippi, David P. (Peggy) Jones of Balwyn, Mississippi, Casey P. (Debbie) Jones, of Amory, Mississippi, several great nieces and nephews, as well as an honorary daughter, Chau Roberts of Hampton, Georgia.
Gwen dedicated over 30 years of service to Walmart working in various positions in Fulton, Mississippi, Dothan, Alabama, and McDonough, Georgia. She moved to McDonough in 2003 with the news of her first grandchilds upcoming birth. Gwen loved her family dearly and most of all her grandchildren. You would often find her at high school football games cheering on Hunter on the football team and Lauren performing with the marching band during the halftime shows. Gwen was an avid reader and cat lover. All the stray cats in her neighborhood knew where she lived, and she took comfort in their companionship.
The family will receive friends to honor Ms. Exlines life on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations to be made in her name to an animal shelter of their choosing.
