Hampie Miller Barronton, age 84, of McDonough, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 23, 2025, under the care of Southern Grace Hospice. She was born on November 5, 1940, in Henry County, the daughter of the late William David Miller and Mildred Knight Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Leon Barronton; a brother, Herman (Dorothy) Miller; and a sister, Ruth White.
Born and raised in the heart of the South, Hampie embodied the grace, strength, and warmth of a true Southern lady. Her days were filled with family and an unwavering devotion to her church community. Hampie was a lifelong member of Salem Baptist Church, where she worshipped and served. More than anything, Hampie was a woman of God. She walked humbly with her Lord; her faith was evident not just in words but in actions.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa and Russell Eaton; granddaughter, Megan Eaton; brother-in-law, David White; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A service to honor Mrs. Barronton's life will take place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, beginning 2:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church, 1724 GA-155 N, McDonough, GA 30252. Interment will take place following the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Salem Baptist Church in Mrs. Hampie's honor.
