Hansa Mehta

It is with a profound sense of loss but with gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Hansa Mehta. Born on 29th September 1941 in Manavadan, Gujarat, India, Hansa was a beacon of courage, an embodiment of love, a supportive force, and a reliable source of strength to those around her. She was a woman of strong willpower, who faced the challenges of life with a radiant smile and unwavering determination. She loved to enliven the world around her with her passions for watching movies, dancing, cooking, and traveling. However, what mattered most to Hansa was her family. After moving to Robbinsville Township, New Jersey seven years ago, she created a warm, loving home, filled with laughter, joy, and the aroma of her divine cooking.

Hansa was a devoted widow to her late husband, Girish Mehta, whom she married on 7th December 1962 in Mumbai. She was the cherished mother of Swati Mehta, and a doting grandmother to Ameya Naik and his wife, Sadhvi Naik. She was preceded in death by her parents Mohanlal and Sushila Kamdar.
