Harley Daugherty, age 80 of Northampton Township, formerly of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Liberty Pointe in Doylestown. Born May 17, 1944 in Springfield, IL, Mr. Daugherty lived in Morrisville over 60 years.
He was employed as an operator with the Morrisville Municipal Authority for 35 years, prior to his retirement in 2010. He was a member of Compass Fellowship Church in Morrisville. Harley enjoyed listening to music, gardening and reading truck and car magazines.
Son of the late Harley Sr. and Genieva (Austin) Lenhart, father of the late Kenneth W. Daugherty and brother of the late Lawrence, Gerald, Earl and Allen Daugherty, he is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Lucille (Piechowski) Daugherty, two sons and daughters-in-law Christopher and Dorothea “Dee” Daugherty of Furlong, PA and Michael and Jenna Daugherty of Hatfield, PA, four grandchildren Kenneth, Sarah, Claire and Emma Daugherty and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067, where friends may gather between 10 and 11 AM.
His interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, River Rd., Yardley, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a memorial contribution, in the name of Kenneth W. Daugherty, to the Ronald McDonald House, 550 Mickle Blvd,, Camden, NJ 08103. (www.rmhsnj.org)
