Harold Altschuler, a devoted family man and respected member of the Staten Island community, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024, at the age of 89, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Harold served his country with pride in the U.S. Army before settling in Staten Island. It was here that he built a life and raised his family, embodying the values of dedication, love, and resilience.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Lucille, who stood by his side through decades of marriage filled with love and partnership.
He was the cherished father of three sons: Mitch, Gary, and Darren, each of whom carries forward his legacy of integrity and strength. His three daughter in- laws Linda, Tina, and Lisa.
Harold's legacy also lives on in his six adored grandchildren Tara, Shaila, Nicolette, Joey, Danielle, and Chris and his precious great-grandchild, Aria. His family, friends, and all who knew him will remember Harold for his kindness, his unwavering support, and the deep love he had for those around him.
In his lifetime, Harold touched many hearts and left an indelible mark on his community. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
