Betty Altschuler

Betty Audrey Altschuler (age 99) of Rockville, MD, passed away at her home on December 26, 2023.



Born in Washington, DC on December 19, 1924 to Pearl and Louis Stein. She was the devoted wife of Leon Altschuler for 67 years; and the devoted mother of Irwin (Leslie) and Steven; devoted grandmother of Aaron (Julie), David (Dora), and Lauren (Eric Ebenstein); and great-grandchildren Abby, Jonah, Theodore, Nathan, and Rose Altschuler, and Zoe and Jordan Ebenstein.



Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at B'nai Israel Synagogue, 6301 Montrose Rd., Rockville, MD, with burial to follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 9500 Riggs Rd., Adelphi, MD 20783. The family will receive guests at the residence of Irwin and Leslie Altschuler immediately following services. Shiva will be observed at the same residence Saturday and Sunday beginning at 4 p.m., services at 6 p.m.



In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
