Harold Lovell Ashworth, 85 years of age, of Burns, TN, passed away January 6, 2025, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center.
He was born August 20, 1939, in Burns, TN, to the late Wiley George and Mary Magdalene (Cathey) Ashworth.
He was known to some as "Doc," and for his shiny boots and perfectly creased pants. He loved his family, kids and was very fond of dogs and cats. He enjoyed Dryland fishing, going to the river, and could ski with one ski; he enjoyed grilling steaks and would find it insulting if you asked for steak sauce. He was a hard worker and loved to ride motorcycles. Harold is a United States Army Veteran, a Mason, and a member of the Third Degree Masonic Motorcycle Club Chapter1. Being a Mason was his heart, and he loved spending time with the members of the Masonic Motorcycle Club.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandson, Owen Giles; brother, George Wiley Ashworth; and sister, Emily Ann Bumpus. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Michael (Julie) Ashworth and Anthony (Scarlett) Ashworth; daughter, Kimberly (Brandon) Giles; sister, Sheila Faye Marsh; and grandchildren, Cody and Hunter Ashworth, Trevor and Trey Ashworth, and Landon Ashworth.
Visitation services will be Monday, January 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. There will be a Masonic service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be in the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Terry Wires officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
