CHARLTON: Harold Richard Cornwell, 90, of Masonic Home Road, died Wednesday, April 10 after an illness. His wife Shirley (Newton) Cornwell died in 2013.

He leaves a son Doug Cornwell and his wife Vea of Mint Hill, NC, a daughter Cindy Cornwell-Henry of Canton GA, 2 stepsons Kevin Moreau and his wife Arlene of Medway, and Marc Moreau of Marlborough, a brother Ron Vincent of Springfield, OH, a sister Janice Armbrister of Plain City, OH, a brother Jon Clingman - deceased.  6 grandchildren, Julia (Cornwell) Lang and husband Matt, David Cornwell, Davis Henry, Corey Henry and his wife Amanda, Kevin-Scott Moreau and his wife Eileen Ann, Sarah (Moreau) Martin and her husband Mike.  3 great grandchildren, Scarlett Lang, Harley Moreau and Cameron Martin.

Dick was a sales rep for Robbins & Myers & Northeastern Electric in Industrial Pumps for over 20 years. He then owned and operated his own company called New England Process Equipment independent pump sales for several years.

He was one of the first residents at the Overlook in Charlton Independent Living.  Throughout the Overlook he was known for organizing and running major events for the residents.  He was a member of Greenville Baptist Church.

He took pleasure in scratch building model ships. One of his models is on display at the Overlook. His other interest HO scale model trains, liked to fly, world traveling and world cruises. He found peace in freshwater and saltwater fishing.    

Dick embarked on his Masonic journey back in 1955 in Springfield Ohio. Upon relocating to Massachusetts, he joined Zetland Lodge which later amalgamated with other Masonic Lodges within the region. Eventually becoming a member at the Rose of Sharon Lodge upon moving to the Overlook. In 1996 he served as the Potentate of Aleppo Shrine located in Wilmington . Additionally active within the Scottish Rite fraternity. An individual dedicated to giving back to the community widely recognized as a Board Member of the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Central Massachusetts.
 
H. Richard Cornwell's life was a tapestry woven with dedication to family values alongside profound contributions within professional endeavors and charitable initiatives. His memory will forever endure through those whose lives he touched with kindness and benevolence.

 Funeral services will be private in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.
