Harold Robert Forsyth
Harold Forsyth, 89, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on October 15, 2021, at the Steuben Center in Bath, NY. Harold was the loving husband of the late Marguerite Ann (Kinney) Forsyth. He was born in Elmira Heights, NY, June 30, 1932, and was the son of the late William H. and Lena R. (Lewis) Forsyth.
Harold was employed by National Homes for over 25 years. He enjoyed going to antique car shows, watching football, making delicious home-cooked meals, and helping his family by doing yardwork, and caring for pets.
He is survived by his daughters, Pamela and her husband Joel Riker, Sr. of Clermont, FL, Nancy and her husband, the late Keith Kent of Horseheads, NY, his son Daniel and wife Lisa Forsyth of Chester, NH. Harold also leaves his grandchildren, Joel Riker, Jr; his wife Jenny and their children of Windermere, FL, Phillip Forsyth of Hooksett, NH, and Colleen Forsyth of Lafayette, CO. He was predeceased by his son, Robert S. Forsyth of Horseheads, NY, his grandson, Eric Riker of Canaseraga, NY, and his sisters and brothers, Betty Smith, Esther Pallone, Dora Smith, William, Donald, and Kenneth Forsyth.
Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Saturday, October 30th from 10 am to 12 noon. His funeral and committal services will follow at 12 noon. Following cremation, a private committal will be held by the family at the Camptown Cemetery in Pennsylvania.
