Harold D. Mitchell, Sr., 79, of Evansville, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025 in his home. He was born August 9, 1946 in Browder, KY, to the late Charles Mitchell and Juanita Rhodes

Harold, Sr. was a wonderful Father and loving Husband. He was a graduate of Central High School. He was a loyal employee to BFI from which he retired. Harold, Sr. loved to joke and give people a hard time, but always out of love. He was a great provider who would do anything for his family. Harold's, Sr. favorite pastime was watching westerns and reality TV.

Harold, Sr. is survived by his daughters, LaVon Mitchell and Stacia Mitchell; son, Harold Mitchell, Jr.; sisters, Linda Pendleton, Brenda Outlaw and Sondra Boyd; grandchildren, Corbin, Danielle, Christian Cole, Carley, Caylee, Cameron, Corryn, Brianna and Caliyah; and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Harold, Sr. was preceded in death by his wife, Willia L. Mitchell who passed away May 2 2008, and brothers, Marvin Mitchell and Charles Mitchell.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Friday, September 19, 2025, at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 North First Ave., Evansville. Funeral service will be Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11:00 am at Ziemer funeral home.

Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
