He was preceded in death by his father, Creed Murrell; mother, Shirley Murrell; and brothers, Billy Murrell and Roger Murrell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Vicki Murrell; sons, Harold Steven (Terri) Murrell, Kevin Murrell, Dustin (Erica) Murrell, and Ethan (Courtney) Murrell; granddaughters, Leah, Lexi, Addy, and Maddy; grandsons, Jayden, Kasen, and soon to be grandson, Harold Tyler Murrell; brothers, Darrell (Sheila) Murrell, Tim (Tammy) Murrell, Terry Murrell, and Dewayne Murrell; sisters, Kathy Cupp, Karen (Hagen) Allen, Lisa (Michael) Allen, and Teresa Allen; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Christian Sells Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Cobb's Chapel Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Travis Porterfield and Rev. Larry Lamb officiating. Graveside service will follow in Cobb's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Allen, Hagen Allen, Bryan Allen, Jesse Allen, Chris Allen, and Isaiah Anglin.
