Harold Roberts

Harold Wayne Roberts, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 91 in Lubbock, Texas. Born on March 18, 1934, in Moorewood, Oklahoma, Harold lived a life marked by devotion to his family, his faith, and his community.
After graduating from Bentonville, Arkansas High School, Harold served his country in the National Guard of the United States. His sense of duty and commitment to excellence carried over into all areas of his life, including his work and personal relationships. On December 5, 1953, Harold married the love of his life, Norma Lee Morris. The couple built a beautiful life together, sharing seventy-two years of marriage, raising two children, and creating countless joyful memories that will be treasured forever.
Harold's professional life was as remarkable as his personal one. He began his career in the oil and gas industry at Cardinal Chemical, eventually moving to BJ Services. His leadership skills and work ethic led him to managerial positions at DA&S and later to co-owning L&L Trucking before his well-deserved retirement. Those who worked with Harold knew him as a dedicated and fair-minded individual who inspired loyalty and respect from his colleagues.
A devout Christian, Harold was a longtime member of Means Methodist Church of Andrews. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his actions and providing comfort and strength throughout his journey. Harold's love for his church was demonstrated through active participation and service, embodying the Christian principles he held so dear.
Harold's interests extended beyond his work and church activities. He was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing the moments spent with his family and friends. His legacy lives on through his loving wife, Norma Morris Roberts of Lubbock, his sons Wayne Roberts and wife Kathy of Lubbock, and Morris Roberts and wife Loyce of Possum Kingdom. His grandchildren Steven Roberts and wife Misty of Lubbock, Clay Roberts and wife Brittany of Canyon, Mandy Piper and husband Adam of Athens, Kelvin Roberts of Possum Kingdom, and Ryan Roberts and wife Taylor of Seattle, Washington, and his great-grandchildren Colt, Wyatt, Clyde Roberts, Wyatt Roberts, Waylon Roberts, Sadie Piper, Lucas Piper, Caleb Roberts, and Mach Roberts will forever hold dear the wisdom and love he imparted.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Veva Clark Roberts and Rex Scott Roberts, and his eleven siblings.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2025, from five until six-thirty in the afternoon at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at eleven o'clock in the morning at Means Methodist Church in Andrews, with Pastor Kevin Bushart officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Andrews North Cemetery.
