A Celebration of Life Service for Harold Dale Shore age 88 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 14, 2025, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Harold was born March 24,1936 in Oklahoma City, OK to Virgil and Irene (Weldon) Shore and passed away at his home on March 10, 2025. Harold attended and graduated from Marshall High School in 1954. On November 4, 1954, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in Oklahoma City and served during the Korean War. On November 3, 1956, Harold was honorably discharged. Harold received his bachelor science degree from Phillips University in 1960 and Master of Divinity and ordained in 1984. Harold served as a minister in Dawn, Ludlow, and Mooresville, MO, Prague, Chandler, Fairview, Cleo Springs, Garber, Carrier, Maple Hill and Lyons, Kansas, and El Campo, TX retiring after many years.
He taught Jr. High and High School English at Fredonia, KS, Ludlow, Missouri and in Wellston, OK. He built a retirement home in Dawn, Missouri, started and director of Chandler Senior Citizen Center and later Director of the Enid Senior Citizen Center. He was an active member of Rotary, later in Toastmasters and Kremlin Lions Club. He served as the District Governor for the Lions Club. Harold was involved with Enid Chamber of Commerce for 25 years.
Harold enjoyed being around his family, hunting, fishing, cattleman, pilot, bridge player and gardener.
Harold is survived by his wife Arlene, children, Valerie Barnett, Stephanie Shore, Paul Shore, Brian Shore, Theresa Barber, Kathleen Reisdorph, Roxanna Brzowski, Thomas Smith, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, a brother, and a son.
Memorials may be made to the Kremlin Lions Club with the funeral home serving as custodians of the funds.
