Harold Neely Smith, age 84, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, December 29th, 2024, at Atrium Pineville.
The family is hosting a funeral service that will be at 3:30 p.m. on January 4th, 2025, at Flint Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
Born on January 10th, 1940, Harold was the son of the late Roddey Faris Smith Sr. and Lois Janet Smith. He was a graduate of Fort Mill High School class of 1959 and he was a supervisor at Duke Power. Harold enjoyed working, gardening, cooking, yard work, a little bit of fishing, and going to the beach and mountains with his family. Harold loved the Lord and loved serving with others in the work of the church, where he could.
Surviving is his wife, Barbara Bennett Smith; his children, Jon Smith (Leslie) and Carl Smith (Wendy); brother, Carol F. Smith; grandchildren, Kasey, Robyn, Michelle; and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Ayden. He was preceded in death by siblings, Elizabeth, Doug, Virginia, RF Jr., and his grandson Johnny.
Memorial may be made to Flint Hill Baptist Church for Annie Armstrong Easter offering at P.O. Box 518, Pineville, NC 28134
