CENTERVILLE, IN– Harold W. Tincher, age 82, of Centerville, Indiana, died Monday, July 14, 2025, at Reid Health.
Born March 15, 1943, in Oneida, Kentucky, to Carlos and Bertha McWhorter Tincher, Harold lived most of his life in this community. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and retired from Roots Blower in Connersville after 40 years of service. Harold enjoyed gardening on his small farm and could fix just about anything. He was an excellent cook and was known for baking angel food cakes and family recipes for many people and special occasions. Harold was proud to have built his family home 50 years ago. He was a great husband to Kathy, and a wonderful father and grandfather to his daughters and grandchildren. God always came first. Harold loved his family, and they loved him.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years, Kathleen F. Glaub Tincher; daughters, Joy (Jeff) Maupin, Amy (Christopher) Lair, Becky (Dan) Ruark, and Katy Tincher; grandchildren, Jessica and Jordan Maupin, Craig (Melanie) Lair, Benjamin Lair, Mason, Dalton, and Waylon Ruark; sister, JoAnn Market; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Paul, Dallas, Leo, James, and Carol Tincher.
Visitation for Harold W. Tincher will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sims Cemetery located in Union County.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
