Harold James Weglarz, 76, of Lancaster PA, entered God's Eternal Care, Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness with his loving family by his side.
Born May 14, 1948 in Williamsport PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Kurtz) Weglarz. Harold was the loving husband of Kathleen A. Weglarz with whom he shared 36 years of marriage.
Harold was a 1966 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. He started working for Steinman Enterprises right after high school for 44 yrs.
He was the Republican City Chairman and was very active in politics throughout his life.
In addition to his loving wife Kathleen, Harold is survived by his stepdaughter, Jennifer L. Kreider and husband Jeffrey R. of Dover PA, stepson Jeffrey S. Nelsen and wife Julie M. of Myerstown PA, stepson Jeremy L. Nelsen and wife Lisa R. of Elizabethtown PA, his niece Cathleen M. Baverline and husband Steven D. of McSherrystown PA, 9 stepgrandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Barbara A. Balchunas.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or Lancaster Pet Pantry.
