Harold Lewter Wright, age 88 died June 28, 2025, at his home in Lexington, TN.
Harold was born on April 23, 1937 in the Roby Community of Chester County, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Loraine Wright, wife Regina Henry, a brother Glen Wright (Linda) of Olive Branch, MS and a sister Peggy Hollanger of Stuttgart, AR.
He is survived by two sisters Floraine Edgar (Dennis) of Lilburn, GA, and Nita Middleton (Roy) of Enville, TN; three brothers Guy Wright (Shirley) of Smyrna, TN, Bruce Wright (Paula) of Reagan, TN, and Jim Wright (Elaine) of Chattanooga, TN, and long-time companion Martha Skelton and her daughter, Joyce Ann Landreth of Lexington, TN.
Harold graduated high school in Potts Camp, MS as the Valedictorian of his class. He retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service, and retired from Crump Area Vocational Technical where he taught Welding. He served on the Board of Directors for Chester County Farm Bureau, Elder of Marl Bluff Presbyterian Church, and in later years became a member and servant of Stringtown Pentecostal Church.
Hobbies he enjoyed were horses, coon hunting, fishing, and traveling with friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Shackelford Funeral Directors - East Main Chapel in Henderson with Bro. Kenneth Price officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Reagan.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM service time on Tuesday.
