Harrell Lanier Pittman, 66, of Screven, Ga. passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 30, 2025 at his residence. He was born on December 7, 1958 to the late, Clifford H. Pittman, Sr. and Rose Campbell-Pittman in Wayne County, Ga. Harrell grew up and received his education in Wayne County and later relocated to Virginia where he worked on the U S Army Post in Arlington, Virginia (Ft. Myer). Upon returning to Screven, Harrell did some farming work and would go fishing when the urge would hit him.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Clifford and Rose Pittman and a brother, Nathaniel Pittman.
He is survived by his sisters, Essie (Kary) Jenkins, Brunswick, Ga., Carolyn (Rayford) Grant, Screven, Ga. and Cathie Pittman (Troy), Hephzibah, Ga.; his brother, Clifford H. Pittman, Jr. (Linda), San Antonio, Texas; his aunt, Martha Pittman, Jesup, Ga.; his uncles, Theotis Campbell (Rita Mae), Jesup, Ga. and Eddie Lee Pittman of Screven, Ga. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a viewing held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street Jesup, Ga. 31545 from 4-6 p.m.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 @ 11:00 AM at Screven Cemetery, Screven Cemetery Rd., Screven, Ga. 31560.
