Harriet E. Emch (Kleppel), age 85, passed away on December 11, 2024 at Akron General Hospital. Born on December 10, 1939 in Parma, Ohio to William (Bill) and Ruth (Johnson) Kleppel. She was a former resident of Bath Creek Estates since April 30, 2024, previously of Peninsula, Ohio. She was married to Jacob Emch in February of 1958 until his passing in 2013.
She was a homemaker until she went to work at Montgomery Wards where she retired. In her younger days she enjoyed fishing, doing puzzles and reading anything and everything she could get her hands on except romance novels.
Preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ruth Kleppel, brother Bill Kleppel, husband Jacob Emch, and daughter Ja-Na Emch; she is survived by a daughter Lari (Tim) Watson of Doylestown, Ohio, grandson Kyle (Maryssa) Watson of Clinton, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Colton, Kane and Farrah Watson; granddaughter Christina (Jim) Sims of Massillon and great-grandchildren Audra and Nate Sims; a son, Randy Emch of Peninsula, Ohio and a brother, David Kleppel of Peninsula, Ohio.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bath Creek Estates for their care and kindness to our family. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
