I always enjoyed seeing Aunt Harriet and uncle Pit. Distance kept our families apart too much but I have very fond memories of visits to Mt Vernon. I hope Greg, Pam, Andy and families are ok. Losing a mother is very difficult but memories of her will live on.

I loved being in Harriet’s presence as I was growing up in Mt. Vernon. She was so gracious and welcoming, soft-spoken, but always smiling. I never heard her raise her voice to anyone. Her strawberry patch was evidence of her strong work ethic. And what a treat! She raised three great kids who were fun to be with as I grew up. The world will miss her.
