Obituary of Harriet Anne Rudloff
Harriet Anne Rudloff passed away in Cortlandt Manor on April 25, 2025. She was born on October 14, 1943 to Gustus and Lydia nee Sears in Staten Island New York. She's predeceased by her parents and siblings Barbara Rudloff-Schaut and Walter Rudloff. She is survived by her half-brother Michael Rudloff and stepmother Lisa Rudloff of Florida.
She was educated in the White Plains school district. She worked for Westchester County Department of Social Services for 31 years and retired in 2000. She spoke multiple languages. She assisted many Brazilian families and integrated them into her family. She traveled numerous times to their hometown of Posas de Caldos, Brazil where she was regaled. She was "adopted" by eight boys and two girls who called her "Mami."
She moved to Maybrook, New York in 2002 and she adored Orange County. She bought a car and learned how to drive. She loved her family and her friends fiercely. She enjoyed her church and her senior activities.
She was taken from us by that horrible disease dementia. She'll be sorely missed and grieved deeply.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 29, 2025 from 10 AM -12 Noon at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc. 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586.
Graveside services will be held at the Wallkill Valley Cemetery Rte 52 Walden following the visitation.
