Harriet Showalter Obituary
Harriet Ruth Severs Showalter passed away peacefully after an extended illness.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Severs, Jr., her sister Mrs. Ellen Patterson, and her husband of 36 years Sidney Showalter, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Mallory Churning (Matthew), son Tanner Showalter, two grandsons, many extended family in North Carolina, and life long friends that are considered family.
Harriet was known for her infectious laugh and her honesty. Harriet spent over 30 years caring for her community as a registered dental hygienist. She loved gardening, artistic expression, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed researching current events and discussing politics. She was always "in the know."
The family and life long friends would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the loving staff and team at Franklin Health and Rehab for the incredible care and compassion they have provided since February.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Caitlyn Bailey officiating. Her family will be receiving friends from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
