Harry Lewis Carr Jr., lovingly known as "Jay", a resident of Hobe Sound, Florida, passed away on October 10th, 2025, at the age of 80.
Born on January 10th, 1945 in White Plains, New York to Harry Carr and Muriel Carr (Grindrod), Jay graduated from Archbishop Stepinac in 1962 and went on to study Finance at Wagner College.
After college, Jay began his career in financial services, and went on to start his own asset management firm, which was headquartered in his hometown of White Plains.
Jay was an avid golfer and cherished his many years at Loblolly Pines and the Oyster Harbors Club.
In 1967, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth "Betty" Carr, whom he was happily married to for 58 wonderful years. Together, they raised three children in Katonah, NY.
He is survived by Betty; his children, Matthew, Anne and John (Liz), his beloved granddaughters, Aidan and Caroline Kobata, and Lily, Ellie and Charlotte Carr. Jay was a devoted family man, and cherished his expanded family of in-laws: Aura Carr, Dan O'Donnell, Linda O'Donnell, Ted O'Donnell, Brian O'Donnell, Mary Pat O'Donnell, and Katie O'Donnell, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his cherished parents and his loving brother Kenneth.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th at 10am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, at 920 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the National Parkinson Foundation, a cause he and his family cared deeply about.
