Tony Magnotta

Tony Magnotta, a lifelong resident of White Plains, passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born in White Plains on March 12, 1953, to the late Gaetano and Marietta Magnotta.
On April 25, 1987, Tony and Mary-Ellen Crehan (Mel) were married in Boston, MA. Together they shared a truly "Wonderful Life" filled with laughter, love, and lasting memories.
Tony proudly served the City of White Plains for 27 years as a Senior Building Inspector, retiring in 2020. Deeply devoted to his community, he also volunteered with the White Plains Volunteer Fire Department, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others.
Tony will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Mary-Ellen, his brother Maurice (Barbara) Magnotta of Fairfield, CT, and his sisters-in-law; Ann Magnotta of Mahopac, NY, Jeanne Praught of MA, Patricia Clark of MA and Theresa Crehan of MA and his brothers-in-law; Thomas Clark of MA and John Crehan of MA. He is also survived by his cherished nieces and nephews-David Magnotta, Andrew Magnotta, Joseph Praught, Veronica Magnotta, Laura Magnotta, Carolyn Arnold, Elizabeth Praught, Joanna Crehan and Jennifer Strube, as well as many great-nieces and nephews who all adored their "Coolest Uncle." He was predeceased by his brother John Magnotta.
Known for his generosity, good humor, and willingness to lend a hand, Tony never hesitated to help anyone in need. His kindness and spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tony's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Feeding Westchester, the ASPCA, or a charity of your choice.
