Elizabeth (Betty) Magnotta (née Barr), age 92, formerly of Broomall, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Magnotta, Jr., with whom she shared 60 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and family.
Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children Liz, Mike (Teri), Jennifer (Patrick) Spellman, Monica (Joe) Robinson, Dave (Peg), Maureen (Marc) Sanders, and Christine (Dan) DeFrancesco. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, each of whom brought her endless joy and pride.
She is also survived by her sister Jane Concannon, her sisters-in-law Dianne Randazzo and Angelina Marsh, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever cherish her kindness, humor, and gentle spirit.
Betty had a warm heart and a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether she was spending time with family, cheering on her grandchildren, or sharing a good laugh with friends, she brought light and love to all who knew her.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of Park Lane at Bellingham for the wonderful care, compassion, and friendship they gave to “Miss Betty.”
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Sunday evening, October 12, 2025, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and again on Monday, October 13, from 9:00 to 9:45 AM, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 (610-353-6300).
Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM Monday at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Interment will take place at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
As she joins her beloved Mike in heaven, her family takes comfort in knowing they are together again.
