Harry James Conger, 89, of Wadsworth, died February 27, 2025 at Akron City Hospital.
Harry was born April 5, 1935 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Harley and Emma {Spies} Conger.
Harry graduated from Wadsworth High School, he then proudly served in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
He married Orpha Wellman on December 18, 1955.
Harry worked at PPG industries in Barberton as a stationary engineer for 29 years. He then retired from Ohio Edison at the gorge. Harry was a member of Ambassador Baptist church in Wadsworth. He loved to work on cars, woodworking, fishing, camping, traveling and being outdoors. Harry enjoyed day trips to Amish country, where he had a lot of friends. Most of all he loved his wife, grandbabies and his family.
Harry will be deeply missed by his daughters; Connie (Bill) Jenkins of Wadsworth, Paula (Michael) Finlay of Barberton grandchildren; Zachary (Stephanie) Jenkins, Benjamin (Sarah) Jenkins, Emily (Tim) Phillips, Audra Kate (Kevin) Gonzalez, TJ (Hannah) McLean, and Charles McLean great-grandchildren; Tyler, Elizabeth, Lucas, Gabriel, and Eloise Jenkins, Lincoln and Emmitt McLean; many nieces and nephews and his best friend George his little Bichon Frise.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Orpha and his brother Gerald.
Friends may call Thursday March 6, 2025 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home.
