Robert Dean Lengacher was born on June 20, 1930, in Sardis, OH. He moved to Wayne County in his early teenage years. He is preceded in death by his lovely wife, Wanda (Neitzelt) Lengacher, who he was married to for 71 years before she passed on May 20, of 2020.
He loved driving his tractors around, spending time with his family, traveling with his wife, and going to breakfast with his friends. He spent most of his life as a farmer and doing lime spreading. In 1973 he decided to quit farming to become a truck driver, often letting his grandkids ride with him until he retired.
He was a member of the Church of Christ for all of his life. He touched the lives of everyone he met, even if in just the smallest way. He was a very quiet person but spoke up when he found it necessary and would also crack a joke out of nowhere with the most serious face making you laugh even harder. He was quick to help his friends and family with whatever they needed and became quite the daredevil in his older years, still going on roofs, and driving the tractors doing different things. He will be truly missed by everyone that loves and cares for him. But we know he will be happy to finally be with his wife again.
He is survived by his two sons, and a daughter. Larry (Wendy) Lengacher, Dennis (Patti) Lengacher, and Patsy Martin. He has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
There will not be any services at this time but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. We would like to thank Life Care Hospice for all of their help and wonderful care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Life Care Hospice in Wooster, Ohio.
