Harry Richard Guyn "Rich",84, born November 7, 1939 in Abington, PA died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 27, 2024.
He was born to the late Harry and Evelyn Guyn. He grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia with his late sisters, Evelyn Moffa and Betty Anne Steinbacher.
He married Roberta "Bobbie" Guyn in September of 1960 and shared 63 years of marriage together.
Rich was of Christian faith and was a member of Bread of Life Church in Quakertown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his adoring children, Richard Guyn and wife, Angie of Lehighton, PA, Donna Richards and husband, Dean of Lititz, PA, Paula Pagano and husband, Tony of Knoxville, TN Janine Leatherman and husband, Troy of Quakertown, PA and Megan Kulp and husband, Jesse of Quakertown, PA; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
Rich was a very hard worker, working most of his life. He worked at FMC in Colmar, PA and Artistic Glass in Trumbauersville, PA. He was an accomplished chef able to cook anything. He owned a catering business and a restaurant in Allentown, PA. He also owned a cleaning business and worked at ACTS Retirement Life Communities and Pfaff Elementary School. He was a genuinely nice man and friendly to whomever he met. He was a dedicated husband and father and loved spending time with family. He loved animals, Christmas and working in his yard and garden.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 3, 2024 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. A burial will follow in Trinity Union Lutheran Cemetery in Bechtelsville. You may visit with the family starting at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project by going online at www.support.woundedwarriorproject.org or mail to P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
