Harry Jashyn, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2026. He was born on November 16, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY.
Harry lived a life defined by dedication to those around him, creativity, and joy. A graduate of Aviation High School, he proudly served in the National Guard before building a log career with the United Stated Postal Service. At the Postal Service, he was known for his reliability to the job and his friendly nature. Beyond his career, Harry pursued a professional photography, where his creativity and keen eye and friendly spirit allowed him to capture countless special moments for others.
Harry shared 57 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Anna. Together they built a loving family that remained the center of his life. He was a proud and caring father to his three children and a deeply cherished grandfather to his six grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Anna, son Andrew, daughter-in-law Nicole, grandson Andrew, and granddaughter Michaela; his daughter Irene, son-in-law Kevin, grandchild Sage, and granddaughter Oksana; and his daughter Natalie, son-in-law Dave, grandson Everett and grandson Jake.
Harry had a vibrant, joyful spirit that touched everyone around him. He loved to dance and sing, bringing warmth and laughter to family gatherings and celebrations. He was an avid fa of the NFL an and also loved to assist his son Andrew who coaches high school football. He was also a devoted fan of science fiction and greatly enjoyed his Saturday night tradition of watching Svengoolie.
One of Harry's most treasured roles was during the Christmas season, when he delighted his family by dressing up as Santa Claus, creating magical surprises and unforgettable memories for his grandchildren. A tradition that brought him as much joy as it did them.
Harry will be remembered for his kindness, humor, creativity, and deep love for his family, He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation for Harry will take place on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 4 PM to 7 PM in the Humistion Funeral Home 30 42nd street Kerhonkson, NY Funeral services will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 10AM in Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 211 Foordmore Rd, Kerhonkson, NY Burial will take place in Holy Spirt Cemetery, Sarah Wells Trail in Campbell Halll, NY.
