Harry Jeno, 93, of Hixson, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2016. He was a WWII veteran. A member of The Ministry Center. Harry was a member of the Carpenters Local No. 74 and retired from Bencor Construction Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Lee; son, Dick; parents, Hiram and Mae; and brother, Hiram Jr. Survivors include his son, Mike and his wife, Ruth; brother , Richard Jeno; grandchildren: Michelle (Danny) Johnson, Michael (Kelly) Jeno, Brent Jeno, Kim (Kelly) Sherrill, Shelaine Morrison; 14 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, John Bowman; sisters-in-law, Elouise Baliff and Barbara Hardy; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Liz Allen. Special thanks to the staff of The Terrace and Hearth Hospice. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, with a graveside service 2 p.m. Sunday, in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Darrell Davenport officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace, 877-3524, www.lanefh.com

I had the honor of knowing Harry for several years. He had a mighty strong spirit, but at the same time humble and caring. The one thing you always saw when you you saw Harry, was a smile on his face. God just took a great man.
