Harry Kidd Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home - Grand Prairie on Jan. 1, 2026.
Harry Joe Kidd Jr., left this world on December 24, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on January 28, 1951, in Atlanta, Georgia, Harry was the oldest of three children and would go on to create a life filled with passion, family, and love of the outdoors.

Harry's academic journey took him to The American University in Switzerland, where he cultivated a love for learning that would stay with him throughout his life. For the past 40 years, he called Texas home, where he developed a deep appreciation for its vast landscapes and rich natural environment. In recent years, he fulfilled a long-held dream by acquiring acreage and building a charming log cabin, which became a treasured gathering place for family and friends.

A man of many interests, Harry had a particular passion for restoring vintage tractors, a hobby that reflected his devotion to craftsmanship and history. He loved the outdoors, spending countless hours gardening, camping, and fishing, immersing himself in the beauty of nature and sharing these experiences with loved ones.

Harry is survived by his beloved children: son Chris McMahon, daughter Jennifer Denmon and son-in-law Bryan Denmon, son Matthew Kidd and daughter-in-law Katelyn Kidd, and son Michael Kidd; their mother, Cindy Kidd; 7 grandchildren; his sister, Candice Cox, and a host of dear friends and family who will forever cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Mountain Creek Cemetery, 2099 Hardy Road, Grand Prairie, TX, 75051. The family welcomes all who wish to pay their respects and celebrate the life of this remarkable man, whose spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.

Harry Joe Kidd Jr. will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Kidd, Shirley Nabers Kidd, and a sister, Paige Kidd
