Obituary published on Legacy.com by Messinger Mortuaries-Fountain Hills Mortuary on Oct. 27, 2025.
Harry Patrick (HP) Rollins slipped the bonds of this earth and entered the kingdom of Heaven on Monday October 13, 2025, at just 37 years old. He was born on May 14, 1988 in Mission Viejo, California and was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Harry (HP) was known for his vibrant personality and his zest for life, sports, and family. He had a passion for sports, almost any sport, and he brought immense joy to everyone around him. From Little League Baseball, to AYSO Soccer, Pop Warner Football, whatever the season, that's what he was doing. High school arrived and Harry excelled in three sports: football, wrestling, and baseball. As a senior, he was the first, and possibly still the only athlete in the history of Fountain Hills High School to earn 1st Team All State honors in three sports in the same year. Off the field he loved to waterski, golf, shoot, and fish whenever the opportunity presented.
Harry had just graduated from high school when tragedy struck. He was six days away from reporting for training camp to play college football at the University of Redlands in Southern California when he suffered a broken neck and spinal cord injury in a vehicle rollover accident here in Fountain Hills. This accident would've killed most people. But he was in the best shape of his life getting ready for football, and he survived. After almost 3 months, he took his first steps as he learned to walk again, and the next 12 months were nothing short of miraculous as he worked hard and God healed him to where he could walk and move forward in his life.
Harry got his first and only hole-in-one on March 31st, 2013 at Sunridge Canyon Golf Course on hole #17, 187 yards across a wide canyon. He studied business at ASU, and later substance abuse counseling at GCU. He went to school in Florida to earn a certification, passed the FAA exam, and became an FAA Certified Airline Flight Planner.
Over the last few years of his life, Harry struggled physically. He became less mobile, and from time to time was confined to a wheelchair again. He had turned that around in his final year, and had high hopes for newer AI inspired therapies coming online to help those with spinal cord injuries.
Without a doubt, the highlight of his life occurred when his sister gave birth to a little girl, just this past April. When Harriet was born, Harry was truly the proudest man on this earth. She was his namesake. He loved his sister Michele and her husband Ryan, and then little Harriet stole his heart. He and Michele constantly exchanged pictures and videos, and had conversations about how adorable she was, what she would be when she grew up and how much Harry loved his niece. He was going to be the best uncle ever and he was, if only for a short time. Our family will make sure that little Harriet learns all about her Uncle Harry as she grows.
Harry passed away on the evening of October 13, 2025 at his parents' home in Fountain Hills, 46 years to the day after his grandfather and namesake, Harry Rollins of Minneapolis, entered eternal glory. Harry had placed his faith and trust in Jesus at a young age and has now seen Him face-to-face as he entered the heavenly kingdom. We live in the certain hope that we will see him again when our time on this earth is over.
He is survived by his parents, Mike & Cathy Rollins of Fountain Hills, his sister Michele, brother-in-law Ryan, and niece Harriet Scheerer of Annapolis, Maryland, his godmother Andrea Ulstrom of Shakopee, Minnesota, godfather Patrick White of San Diego, California, 15 cousins, 10 uncles and aunts, and thousands of friends.
Fair Winds and Following Seas, Harry. Rest in peace. Your work here is done. We've got it from here. We will see you soon.
