Harry Paul Sherman, 93, of Monticello, formerly of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022.
He was born on November 20, 1928 in Lafayette to the late Fred and Bertha Sherman.
On August 11, 1952, he married Vivian Howard and she preceded him in death in 2012.
Harry worked for Local 962 as a plasterer most of his life.
He enjoyed racing cars, drawing pictures, eating chocolate, riding his Harley to Biloxi, Mississippi and Paducah, Kentucky to visit his sisters, and spending time with all of his grandchildren.
Surviving are his daughters, Diane Sherman of Lafayette and Katrina (Marty) Wooten of Monticello; his grandchildren, Diane Lynn, Corinna, Poncho, Angel, and Levi; his great grandchildren, Arianna, Viviana, Kayden, Aniyah, Joshua, Adalee, Joell, Daniella, Jessica, Tasha, Tiara, and Kody; and his great great grandchildren, Avielle, Amoni, Makayla, Isaiah, Neaveh, Kinsley, Adilynn, Eli, Korbin, and Aiden.
He was preceded in death by his son, Freddy Sherman; his great great granddaughter, Elliana; and his siblings, Ruth, Helen, Mary Alice, Martha, Gene, Charlie, and Fred "Bus".
Service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Emmett Ade officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
