Harry F. Wollenberg IV

Harry "Skip" Wollenberg, 76, of Teaneck, passed away on Tuesday, August 19. Harry was born in Evergreen Park, IL, and grew up in Chicago. He graduated from Purdue University and before retiring in 2017, he worked as a newsman for the Associated Press for 45 years, in Springfield, IL, Memphis, TN, Washington, DC, and New York, NY. He was an avid baseball fan and loved following the Chicago White Sox and the New Jersey Jackals. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Chilik Wollenberg, his daughter, Emily Wollenberg, his sons, Harry Timothy Wollenberg and Gregory Wollenberg, his brothers, John Wollenberg and Danny Wollenberg, his sister, Debbie (Wollenberg) Kaczor, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, August 24 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Bogota at 10 am on Monday, August 25. Burial will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah.
