Harvey De Caprio Obituary
Harvey lived a full and meaningful Life marked by his service in the U.S. Navy and his dedication to his family. He was employed by the NYC Dept. of Sanitation. After retiring, he worked for Haverstraw Transit.
His hobbies were bowling, gardening, fishing, and crabbing. He also coached youth basketball and baseball. He was a Bingo Captain at the Haverstraw Elks.
He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren as well as extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers.
Visitation hours will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026 at George M. Holt Funeral Home, 50 New Main Street, Haverstraw, NY 10927.
Harvey's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, 25 Cinder Road, Garnerville, NY 10923. Burial will follow at Mt. Repose Cemetery, 79 Westside Avenue, Haverstraw, New York 10927.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Harvey's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
