He received his early education in the public school of Dawson, Georgia.
Havey was a truck driver for many years. He held several jobs until his health failed in 2013. Harvey loved and cared for his family deeply. He enjoyed
family gatherings and spending time with all his family and friends.
Harvey passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the age of 72, one day after his birthday. He leaves a void that can never be filled.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his sisters, Leila Murphy, Sallye Jones, Nellie Few, and Janie (Fred) Brown, all of Dawson, Georgia, Van (Johnnie) Denson,
of Newton, Georgia, Denise (Michael) Gibson of Atlanta, Georgia, a cousin who was more like a sister to him, Leola (Marvin) Fields of Albany, Georgia, Linda
Mills, and Alice Mills, all of Dawson, Georgia, Minnie Mills of Albany, Georgia, and Alberta Mills of South Carolina; two brothers, Jessie Clyde Mills of Dawson,
Georgia, Marvin Mills of Tampa, Florida; special friends, Linda Humphries and Mary Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and very special friends. All will miss him dearly.
