Harvey Sipling Obituary
Harvey was born in Hanover, PA on July 6, 1938 and was one of twenty-one children to the late Paul and Katie (Glatfelter) Sipling. He worked as a truck driver for Coca-Cola and retired from Hanover Hospital. Harvey enjoyed attending auctions and was an avid Notre Dame fan, lifelong member of the McSherrystown Home Association, and attended Mass at Annunciation B.V.M. Catholic Church in McSherrystown and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover. He also loved taking care of his dog Teddy and watching westerns and Notre Dame football.
Harvey is survived by his children Diane Gebhart (Fred), Crystal Cooper (Scott), Harvey Sipling, Jr. (Kim), Charlotte Edwards (Jim), Scott Sipling (Tammy), Harry Wagaman (Teresa), Barry Sipling, Jerry Wagaman, Jeffrey Wagaman, Holly White (Denise), David Crowl, Melissa Eyler (Fran), and Patrick Sipling; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Dale L. Sipling who passed away on July 5, 2023.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Harvey's Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 12:00 noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Rd., Hanover, PA 17331. Interment will be private. Viewings will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, PA 17344 and on Wednesday from 11:00AM – 12:00 noon prior to the Mass in the narthex of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
