Cheryl A. Snyder

Cheryl A. (Yohe) Snyder, age 77, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2026. She was the loving wife of Richard N. Snyder; together they shared 58 years of marriage.

Cheryl was born in Hanover, PA on July 2, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Ruth (Thoman) Yohe. She graduated from Spring Grove Area High School and worked as a hairdresser in Jefferson for many years. Cheryl was the former cheerleading coach for the Spring Grove Boys Club and Spring Grove Area High School cheer teams in the 1980's. She also drove a school van for Spring Grove Area School District. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company and St. Paul (Zeigler's) Lutheran Church in Seven Valleys where she served as a Sunday School teacher. Above all, Cheryl cherished her grandchildren and the time she spent with them.

In addition to her loving husband Richard, Cheryl is survived by her children R. Troy Snyder and wife Dawn and Staci Miller and husband Mitchell; her grandchildren Lake, Alyx, Jacob, Amber, and Tyler; and her two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother James Yohe; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral Service in celebration of Cheryl's life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00AM at St. Paul (Zeigler's) Lutheran Church, 4258 Zeigler's Church Rd., Seven Valleys, PA 17360 with Rev. Lawrence Cummings officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul (Zeigler's) Church Cemetery in Seven Valleys. Viewings will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM and on Friday from 10:00AM – 11:00AM both at St. Paul (Zeigler's) Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cheryl's memory may be made to St. Paul (Zeigler's) Lutheran Church, 4258 Zeigler's Church Rd., Seven Valleys, PA 17360.
