Services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Rushing, retired Baptist minister, and Pastor James Greer, pastor at Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
Floy was born on June 1, 1929 in Kelton to Marvin and Eula Davee Bradstreet. She attended school in Wheeler and graduated from Wheeler High School on May 16, 1947. Floy married Donald Larkin on June 1, 1948 in Pampa. They lived in Kansas, Colorado, and Texas while Don served as a minister at different churches. Floy and Don eventually made their way back to Pampa on July 17, 1995. They were happily married for 59 years until the Lord called him home on September 7, 2007.
Floy was a homemaker and found purpose in raising her children in a Christian home. She loved serving the Lord and was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church. Floy enjoyed volunteering at the church and participating in the women’s ministry. She was a phenomenal cook and her family regularly fought over her desserts, especially her chocolate pie. However, Floy was famous for her chicken and dumplings. She enjoyed playing cards and was known for her competitive edge. Floy also enjoyed crocheting and making gifts for her family. She loved to sing at church, using her talent to worship the Lord. She was also a gifted piano player. Floy adored spending time with her family, specifically her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was very close to her twin sister, Joy and even “adopted” Joy’s children as her own.
Floy’s life was a beautiful example of Christ’s love for the church. She was undoubtedly welcomed into her savior’s arm with the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Floy will be missed greatly by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by husband, Don Larkin; her parents, Marvin and Eula Bradstreet; two sons, Steven Donald Larkin and Gary Allan Larkin; one daughter-in-law, Diana Larkin, and eight siblings, Ruth Taylor, Thelma Bailey, Travis Bradstreet, Rosalie Keelin, Coy Bradstreet, Roy Bradstreet, Joy Garrison, and Sylvie Brown.
Floy is survived by her daughter, Melissa Karst and husband Kurt; five grandchildren, Chad Larkin and wife Angela, Dustin Larkin and wife Tanya, Keith Larkin and wife Jacie, Kris Karst, and Mekaela Karst; five great-grandchildren, Jaimee Daun Alair and husband Jesse, Aaron Larkin, Brody Larkin and wife Sheyanne, Sydney Larkin, and Lucy Karst; seven great-great grandchildren, Mason Larkin, Taylor Larkin, Rylie Larkin, Jaissee Alair, Jailee Alair, Jewelee Alair, and Jaxsen Alair; one daughter-in-law, Beverly Larkin Smith and husband Jim; and numerous nieces and nephews.
