Memorial Services Celebrating the life of Mrs. Hazel Florine Brown Collins, 93, of West Monroe, LA, will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating.
Mrs. Collins was born June 9, 1929 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 22, 2023. She was a graduate of Monticello High School. Mrs. Collins attended Faith Church and WFR Church. She was an avid bowler. Mrs. Collins loved gardening and being outdoors fishing, whether with her trusty cane pole or going all out bass fishing. She worked at Slayden’s up until she was 75. Mrs. Collins was well loved by all that met her. She had such a soft spot for children and was always happy to be with them. Mrs. Collins was most known for her southern style tea cakes.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Collins, son, Ronnie Louis Dennis; siblings, Lucille Vines, LT Brown, Bernice Fisher, Sybil Calloway, Geraldine Kennedy, James Edward Brown and Robert Lawrence Brown; and son-in-law, Thomas John “T. J.” Moutz.
Survivors include her loving children, Sheila Collins Crowe and husband Murry, Carolyn Collins Crawford-Moutz and Bubba Collins and wife Gina; 12 grandchildren, Vanessa Crawford, Mark Dennis and wife Pasha, Christopher Crawford and wife Brandi, Wendy Albritton and husband Jesse, Jason Dennis and wife Sherry, Ashleigh McGeehee and husband Blake, Trey Crowe and wife Jennifer, Chase Collins, Dakota Collins, Jordan Collins, Candace Kelly and husband Kevin, and Eric Moutz and wife Briony Schnee; 15 great-grandchildren, Chelsea Hudson, Courtney Tomlinson, James Murray McGehee, Wyatt McGehee, Noah Christopher, Carter James Crawford, Macy Kelly, Kylie Dennis, Kody Dennis, Lathan Dennis, Kaelynn Higley, Alanie Aston, Alden Moutz, Daphne Lilith Moutz, and Bella Albritton; five great great-grandchildren, Parker Hudson, Oliver Hudson, Eleanor Hudson, Logan Frost and Ethan Collier; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
