Hazel Flint

Hazel Pearl Flint was born to Elroy and Helen Lockmon on November 2, 1934. The family traveled for many years due to work. At age 6, Hazel found herself in San Francisco while her father helped build the Golden Gate Bridge. Later, they moved to Oregon where Hazel finished school, graduating from Corvallis High School in 1952. After high school, Hazel began working as a waitress and ended up marrying the cook, John Rollins. Hazel and John remained married for 11 years. They had 2 children together, Laura Jo and Johnny Jay. Many years later, in 1975, she worked at the Corvallis Hotel where she met Samuel Flint and ended up in Ogden, Utah. Sam was the love of Hazel's life. They ran a business together until Sam's death in 2004. She stayed in Utah until 2018 with friends of the VFW then moved back to Oregon to be with her family, where she got to know her 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is leaving behind many who love her, including her daughter, Laura Joe and her son, Johnny Jay as well as many friends from the VFW #1481 in Ogden.
Hazel's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. Burial will follow in Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
