Hazel Granger Obituary

Hazel Marie Granger, 73, of Easley, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Born on December 10, 1950, she was a daughter of the late George and Evelyn Smith McCall. Marie touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her unwavering kindness, her wonderful humor, witty conversations and the warmth of her smile. With a heart that overflowed with love, Marie devoted her professional life to helping others. She attended Greenville Technical College, where she graduated with an Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology. Following her education, she dedicated her career to the Greenville Hospital as a Surgical Tech before moving on to Piedmont Orthodontist, where she continued to serve patients with care and compassion until her retirement. Beyond her career, Marie’s true joy came from her family. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories that they will hold dear for years to come. Her devotion extended beyond her immediate family as she made it a tradition to send heartfelt cards to family members and friends for every occasion, each adorned with a personal handwritten note that showcased her heartfelt sentiments. In her leisure time, she found peace in the simple pleasures of life. Marie loved sitting on the porch, engaging in sweet conversations, and soaking up the beauty of the world around her. Her passion for cooking and gardening brought nourishment and beauty to her family gatherings, infusing every meal and flower bloom with love and care. Marie was an active member of the Berea First Baptist Church, participating lovingly in the Becky Greene Sunday School Class. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, illuminating her path and inspiring those around her.

She is survived by a son, Scott Granger of Loveland, Colorado; two daughters, Stephanie Granger Suarez (Carlos) of Greenville, South Carolina, and Jessica Granger (Teddy Laws) of Easley, South Carolina; a brother, Wesley McCall (Janis) of Salina, Kansas; two sisters, Brenda McCall (Dick Harmsen) of Efland, North Carolina, and Martha Junkins (Chris) of Powdersville, South Carolina; and three grandchildren, Sophie Laws, Maximus Suarez, and Charlotte Granger.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2024, in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
