Hazel Marie (Wilcoxson) Sparks was born November 15, 1936, in Hughes County, Oklahoma to Henry and Ethel Wilcoxson. She passed from this life in Okemah, Oklahoma on February 5, 2026, at the age of 89.

As a young woman she married JB Anderson in Tulsa in 1952. Born to this union was Johnny, Pam, and Mike Anderson. JB passed away at the age of 23. She then married Gene Abney and to this union was born Linda Abney. Gene passed away at the age of 41. Then in 1972, Hazel married John F. Sparks. John passed away in 2012.

Hazel was quite the gardener. She loved her fresh veggies and her beautiful flowers. She always had big, beautiful gardens and wanted her children to have them as well, whether they wanted one or not!

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Ethel Wilcoxson, her brothers JD and Roy Wilcoxson, her son Mike Anderson, her granddaughter Brandi Rosalee, and her husband's JB Anderson, Gene Abney, and John F Sparks.

Survivors include three children: Johnny Anderson, and wife Charlene, Pamela Burleson, and Linda Lee, and husband Ernie; eight grandchildren: John Anderson, and wife Brandie, of Crosby, Texas; Charlie Anderson, and wife Alesha, of Maud; Jeannie Hughes, and husband Steven, of Wetumka; Michael Anderson, and wife Melonie, of Wetumka; Rebecca Poole, of Norman; Tyler Lee, of Minnesota; Josh Lee, and wife Becky, of Luther; Jason Lee, and wife, Jennifer of Wetumka; 15 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, along with other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will begin at the Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home in Wetumka at 1:00pm on Sunday, February 8. Graveside services will be at Wetumka Cemetery on Monday, February 9 at 2:00pm with Eric Kroier officiating.

Services are under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
