Funeral services for Heather Gaar Carroll, 51, will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4736 Lyba St. in Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Gabriel Hall until the start of the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m. that will be held in the church. Officiating the service will be Father Raney Johnson.

Heather was born on October 9, 1974 to Jeff Gaar and Raynette Garcia Sepulvado, and passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.

After graduation from Huntington High School, she attended BBCC and LA Tech. She spent her life devoted to helping people as a Respiratory Therapist with children being her favorite patients. She started working at LSU Hospital in 1996 working through all the name changes and stopping work when her body would no longer allow her to do her job. She was a special and loving mom, daughter and wife.

Heather is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Mary Garcia; father, Jeff Gaar; mother, Raynette Garcia Sepulvado; daughter, Aubrey Rayann Bailes; uncle, Michael Garcia; and cousin, Kenneth Garcia. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Todd Carroll; dad, Manuel Sepulvado; sisters, Tiffany Searcy and husband, David, Sherry Hohimer and husband, Kirk, and Adina Estes; nieces, Shea Sherrick and Breann Wyatt and husband, Tyler; nephews, Justiss Sherrick, Carlos Hohimer, and Cameron Estes.

Honoring Heather as pallbearers will be Joe Fiedler, Mike Bogan, Jeff Nash, Brandon Garsee, Justiss Sherrick, and Ryan Milholen.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors from Willis Knighton North ICU and CCU and other staff members. We also want to thank the nurses and entire transplant team from Baylor Scott & White in Dallas, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to a charity of their choice.
