Heather Marie Roller Lunsford, 54, of Phenix City, AL entered Heavens gates on Friday, August 02, 2024, surrounded by family while under hospice care.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon (EST) on Tuesday, August 06, 2024, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Jared Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home.
Heather was born July 27, 1970, in Columbus, GA daughter of Martin “Marty” B. Roller, Jr. and Martha Lynn Isom Benefield. She was employed at HPRC as an Insurance Claims Specialist striving to help clients and the clinic navigate insurance claims. Heather was an active member of Glenn Anthony Baptist Church in Columbus, GA where she was part of the Praise Team. She loved to sing especially praises to God. Her voice will be dearly missed during worship.
Heather also loved to travel. Most recently she took a trip to Europe with her family. An adventure that will always be full of great memories. She also enjoyed shopping with her family, so add shopping and traveling to a beautiful beach and her day was made. Heather enjoyed reading a lot, so she often spent time at the beach or the poolside enjoying the latest book she had discovered.
She was a very loving and giving person as expressed in her baking cakes and other goodies for family and friends on special occasions. Oh, how delicious these treats were too. Heather was also a volunteer at the Betty/LaGayle Cancer Foundation for Women.
We will remember her as the person who lit up the room when she walked in. Her presence had a calming effect on those around her. She was the one who kept up with everyone’s birthdays and special events via Facebook and phone calls. She aspired to be a “super Nona” and wow did she excel at this! Heather was a loving daughter, wife, mom, sister, Nona and aunt. We will always have a void in our hearts only she could fill. She was called home too soon for our liking, but our faith in Christ assures us that Gods plans are far better than ours. We look forward to the day when we will be reunited with her in Heaven.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Eddie Lunsford, Phenix City, AL; her dad, Marty B. Roller, Jr. (Geralyn); mother, Lynn Benefield (James Andrew Roy Benefield, Jr.); two daughters, Kathryn Melany Lunsford and Payton Elizabeth Glaze (Laracco Glaze, Jr.); two sons, Brandon Scott Dobson (Kindall) and Ronald Andrew Lunsford; one sister, Leigh Maranne Roller; three precious grandchildren, Nora Kathryn Dobson, Ian Scott Dobson, and Layton Kodi Glaze; one nephew, Nyles Garrett Huling; numerous other family members and special friends.
Donations in Heather's memory can be made to Betty/LaGayle Cancer Founation at 8910 Crosswind Circle, Apt 304, Montgomery, AL 36117.
