Heather Louise McClurg

Heather Louise McClurg, 36, a beautiful soul with a contagious smile and was loved by everyone, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 in Elliott County, Kentucky from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was a resident of Olive Hill, Kentucky.

She was born on May 31, 1988 in Morehead, a daughter of Zachary McClurg and Denise Kay McClurg.

Heather was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. 

She was a 2006 graduate of Rowan County Senior High School and also received her associate degree from Ashland Community College.

Heather enjoyed the outdoors, horseback riding, camping, fishing, riding her side by side and woodworking. 

She was preceded in death by one brother, Ryan William Ayres.

Survivors include her fiancé, Aaron Dickerson of Olive Hill, her father and step-mother, Zachary and Pamela McClurg of Hillsboro, Kentucky, her mother, Denise McClurg of Olive Hill, one son, Jakob Tucker Sloan of Olive Hill, step-son, Aaron Dickerson III of Olive Hill, one daughter, Alaina Lou Dickerson of Olive Hill, two brothers, Shawn Kay (Tammy) of Lexington, Kentucky and Dr. Mitchell Richmond (Jenna) of Powell, Tennessee, half brother, Zachary McClurg (Cindy) of Hillsboro, Ohio, step brothers and sisters, Jeremiah Fuoss (Willow) of Lexington, Becca Chowning (Snider) of Georgetown, Kentucky and Brian Fuoss (Ashley) of Lancaster, Kentucky and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 6, 2024 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Siloam Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jakob Sloan, Shawn Kay, Zach McClurg, Dr. Mitchell Richmond, Aaron Dickerson and Taylor Dickerson.

Contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
