Heather Nicole Nelson, age 39, of Helena, Ohio passed away peacefully on

Wednesday, September 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Cleveland Clinic

after a courageous battle with cervical cancer. She was born on December 16, 1985, in

Bowling Green, Ohio to Rhonda Nelson.

Surviving Heather is her parents, John & Rhonda Robinett of Helena; Patricia &

Tom Moore; children, Gaven Wallace, Elaina Slagle, Karlee, Kendra; granddaughter,

Laylay; significant other, Todd Slagle of Bowling Green; sister, Alyssa Adams of Bowling

Green; grandmother, Patricia Saam of Helena; grandparents, Larry & Christina Nelson;

aunts & uncles, Gail (Tony) Perez, Angela Saam, Laura Lee Almaguer. She was preceded

in death by an infant brother, Johnathan Nelson; grandparents, Marvin Saam, and Hollie

"Bob" & Julia Robinett; brother-in-law, Kenneth Saam

Heather had a great love of Jesus and was baptized as a young girl at the

Reorganized Latter-Day Saints in Bradner. She enjoyed attending church with her

grandparents. Heather graduated with Honors from Lakota High School in 2003 and

always had a dream of becoming a Marine Biologist. She had a love of dolphins;

collecting many figurines over the years, had a passion for traveling, and enjoyed

spending time at various parks and gardens. Heather was also an avid Ohio State

Buckeye & Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed reading, and was an excellent cook. She will

always be remembered for her love of life, having the kindest heart, and her giving nature.

Heather's greatest love in life though was spending time with her family, especially her

children.

Friends will be received from 2-8 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Barndt

Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on

Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 11 AM with Pastor Ron Adams officiating. Burial

will be at West Union Cemetery near Gibsonburg. Memorial donations can be made to

Heather's family. Online condolences can be sent to Heather's family at
