Hector A. Marroquin 66, of Tobyhanna passed away suddenly Saturday evening August 23, 2025, at his home in Tobyhanna.

Hector was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala on February 9, 1959, a son of Sonia R. Marroquin of Guatemala City, Guatemala. He was educated in Guatemala and after migrating to the United States he obtained a driver position in the pharmaceutical industry where he was currently employed.

Hector was an active member of Most Holy Trinity Parish, Cresco. He loved music, dancing, working on cars and devoting his time to his daughters.

Preceding him in death in was a brother, Fernando Pivaral.

Surviving is his wife Rafaela (Cordon) Marroquin of Tobyhanna, daughters, Gloria Luna of Guatemala, Sonia G. Marroquin and Carmen A. Marroquin both of Tobyhanna, Sister Natalia L. Contreras and brother, Elias R. Contreras both of Guatemala, grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family members.

A memorial viewing will be held on Saturday September 6, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A. M. in Most Holy Trinity Parish. 236 Rt 390 Cresco. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. in the church. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Pine Grove Road, South Sterling.
